Nonprofit of the Day

SHOPNGive TV's goal is to feature and support a different nonprofit organization, community effort, community event or cause-based project during each designated 24-hour Give period. Every day may feature a different approved nonprofit, community organization, community effort, community event or cause-based project, selected from applications and requests submitted to SHOPNGive TV.

How the 1% Give Value works

For each designated Give period, SHOPNGive TV determines an amount equal to 1% of applicable SHOPNGive TV product sales generated during that period for contribution to the selected Nonprofit of the Day or approved community cause.

The Give Value shown under each product illustrates 1% of that product's SHOPNGive TV price — for example, $18.00 → $0.18.

The daily Give period

6:00 AM → 6:00 AM

Each Give period runs from 6:00 AM on the designated day through 6:00 AM the following day.

Calculated from actual receipts

The 1% amount is determined manually from the actual applicable transaction receipts for the designated 24-hour period. Sales activity for each Give period is reconciled internally, and the final 1% amount is based on the qualifying sales receipts for that period. No additional charge is added to your purchase.

Leader interview on SHOPNGive TV

Participation requires an appearance on SHOPNGive TV. For nonprofits, the CEO, President, Executive Director or another authorized leader takes part in an interview. For community events, efforts and cause-based projects, an authorized organizer or project leader takes part.

Appearances are by video or, where approved, by audio accompanied by an authorized photograph of the participating leader. It's a chance to:

  • Tell your story
  • Explain your mission
  • Describe the community you serve
  • Explain the need
  • Discuss the organization, event or cause
  • Promote the initiative
  • Encourage public participation
  • Tell viewers how to support you

Promote your featured day

Selected organizations and community efforts agree to actively promote their SHOPNGive TV appearance and let supporters know:

  • You were selected for a featured Give period
  • Your leader will appear on SHOPNGive TV
  • Supporters can watch the appearance
  • Supporters can shop SHOPNGive TV during the featured 24 hours
  • Supporters can share the appearance and featured day

Use the channels you actually maintain — such as Facebook, Instagram, other social media, your website, email, and member, supporter or community communications. No specific platform is required.

Nonprofit eligibility

Nonprofit applicants provide documentation establishing nonprofit eligibility before receiving a contribution. As applicable:

  • IRS 501(c) determination documentation
  • Legal nonprofit name
  • Primary organizational contact
  • CEO / President / Executive Director / authorized leader
  • Website, if available
  • Social media and Facebook information
  • Contact email and telephone
  • Organization mission
  • People / community served
  • Current need or initiative
  • Reason support is requested

Community event & cause eligibility

Community events, efforts and cause-based projects not applying as 501(c) nonprofits provide documentation so SHOPNGive TV can evaluate the activity. As applicable:

  • Event / project name
  • Responsible organization or organizer
  • Authorized leader / contact
  • Community purpose
  • People / community served
  • Documented event schedule or date
  • Event flyer or promotional material
  • Social media and Facebook information
  • Contact email and telephone
  • Supporting documentation of legitimacy

An authorized leader must take part in the SHOPNGive TV interview.
